Project Summary:

The principal purpose of the City of Bisbee Comprehensive Transportation Plan Study is to update their Transportation Master Plan for inclusion in the Bisbee General Plan.  This Bisbee Transportation Study is being conducted as part of the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) Planning Assistance for Rural Areas (PARA) program. The study will result in a plan of improvements to city infrastructure and traffic safety for near-term, mid-term, and long term transportation planning horizons. The recommendations will be multimodal, considering roadways, sidewalks, stairs, pathways/trails, bicycles, transit, rail, and drainage that effects transportation ways.

The City of Bisbee Comprehensive Transportation Plan Study will be conducted according to a cooperative planning process involving stakeholders that include public agency staff, elected officials, and the public.  Throughout the study, information will be presented to and solicited from stakeholders through individual interviews, public meetings, and other means of communication.
