Bisbee Mine Tour Will Remain Open As Negotiations Continue

In a special session called on Tuesday night, the Bisbee City Council was notified by letter that Freeport McMoran will continue the lease that allows Bisbee's Mine Tour to continue. For the next forty six weeks, the Queen Mine Tour will continue to be Bisbee's premier attraction.

Bisbee City Council Will Rewrite Civil Union Ordinance

Bisbee will rewrite the civil union ordinance, after being threatened by Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne over its constitutionality under Arizona law. According to USA TODAY, Bisbee agreed to rewrite the ordinance rather than be sued by the state.

Fort Huachuca Loses 11th Signal Brigade Headquarters

The 11th Signal Brigade Headquarters is moving from Fort Huachuca, to Foot Hood, Texas. Without the Border Patrol and the Fort Huachuca payrolls, Cochise County would be in a deep recession.
